Why operate the cornea?
Cornea is a transparent layer covering the front of the eye. The cornea
accounts for two thirds of the focusing power of the eye. Flattening
of the cornea by the laser reduces its focusing power, thereby eliminating
short sight.
Who is eligible for surgery?
All persons between the ages of 18 and 65. Possible side effects: during
pregnancy, change of hormones due to refractive variations; infectious
eye disease such as conjutivitis, cornea ulcers or other disease that
may affect the scarring.
